Hilary Duff, Celebrity Chef Mollie Ahlstrand To Attend A “Night with the Raj” Polo Ball On Friday Night at International Polo Club

WELLINGTON, FL (April 17, 2007) – Superstar Hilary Duff and celebrity chef Mollie Ahlstrand, Oprah’s favorite chef, will help bring the dynamic equestrian social season to a spectacular climax with the exotic “Night with the Raj” Polo Ball on Friday at 7 p.m. at International Polo Club Palm Beach.

Duff and Chef Mollie will attend the black-tie gala as guests of International Polo Club co-founder John Goodman. Duff and Goodman are both from Houston, although Duff now lives in Los Angeles.

The Grand Marquee at International Polo Club will be transformed into a 16th century maharajah’s elegant palace, with Persian rugs, luxurious furnishings, antiques and vintage polo artwork along with multi-sensory surprises, all designed to help guests celebrate the spirit and origins of the sport.

The Polo Ball is the highlight of the club’s social season and a who’s who of polo will be among the crowd of more than 400 guests. A limited number of tickets are still available, but don’t wait until the last minute or else you may miss the best party of the year!

Village of Wellington Councilwoman Lizbeth Benacquisto and George Banks are Co-Chairmen along with Dennis and Mary Shaugnessey. Internationally renowned polo player Nacho Figueras and his wife, Delfina, are among the committee members. International Polo Club founders John and Carroll Goodman are the Honorary Chairmen.

Duff’s career breakthrough came with a starring role in the Disney Channel family comedy show, Lizzy McGuire. Duff has since acted in successful pictures such as Cheaper by the Dozen, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, A Cinderella Story, Raise your Voice, Material Girls, and The Perfect Man. After recording tracks for Disney productions, Duff recorded her 2003 studio album Metamorphosis, which became one of the top-selling albums of the year. Dignity, her third studio album, was released earlier this month and has reached number three on the music charts. Hilary’s clothing line, Stuff by Hilary Duff, was launched in 2004 and her perfume with Elizabeth Arden, With Love, debuted in 2006.

Chef Mollie owns the popular Trattoria Mollie in Montecito, California, which features a Northern Italian menu with homemade breads and pastas. She is preparing some of her most popular items for spectators to sample during halftime of the Stanford U.S. Open on Sunday.
