Lechuza Caracas Eliminates Isla Carroll in Hall of Fame Cup

WELLINGTON, FL - Lechuza Caracas handed Isla Carroll its second defeat and eliminated them from the subsidiary Hall of Fame Cup today at International Polo Club Palm Beach.
Both teams entered the game with one defeat but Lechuza was able to sustain its four goal handicap advantage to beat Isla Carroll 12-8. Facundo Pieres of Isla Carroll led his team with four goals and Sapo Caset of Lechuza finished the day with four.
The final elimination game of the Hall of Fame takes place Wednesday, April 16 at 10 am when Orchard Hill plays Bendabout. Wednesday will also have the semi finals of the Stanford US Open Polo Championship. At noon Pony Express takes on defending champion Crab Orchard and at 3pm 2006 winner Las Monjitas plays the 2005 winner White Birch. The US Open Final will be played Sunday, April 20 at 3pm on the Stanford Field.
2008 marks the 104th year of the U.S. Open Polo Championship, the most coveted in the sport of polo.
