WELLINGTON, FL (December 13, 2005) – International Polo Club Palm Beach is adding more flavor and spice to its world-renowned ambience, with well-respected Continental Catering on board as the on-site caterer and concessionaire for the 2006 season, it was announced by IPC General Manager Michael C. Brown.

Continental Catering will operate the popular Sunday Brunch, which is open to the public, as well as the fieldside concessions, according to Brown.

“Improving the concession areas increases the appeal for the fans and families to enjoy a day at polo even more,” said Brown. “Continental Catering’s flair and delicious choices add to the fun atmosphere we’ve created.”

The high-goal polo season begins Sunday, January 15 at 3 p.m. at International Polo Club Palm Beach, home of the prestigious Stanford Financial Group U.S. Open Championship.

Continental Catering celebrates over 25 years in the special events industry, hosting such events as SunFest, Artigras and Garlic Fest and backstage catering for The Kravis Center. Continental Catering is also the on-site caterer for the historic Harriet Himmel Theater at CityPlace and the National Croquet Center, both located in West Palm Beach.

Fieldside, Continental Catering is expected to offer polo fans a variety of choices throughout the season, from hot dogs and hamburgers to flavored coffees to seafood and barbecue. The Sunday Brunch will continue to be a unique opportunity to begin the day of polo with a delicious meal and delectable desserts.

“We’re excited to be a part of the polo community,” said new Continental Catering General Manager Doug Brown. “Adding a new project at a premier facility like International Polo Club is fantastic. We plan on becoming very involved in Wellington and want to add weddings, family functions and corporate events in addition to our catering business at the club.”
